Our Purpose

As a 501(c)3 organizational purpose of Sierra Leone Malegohun Community Development, Inc. is to serve the Malegohun Chiefdom community and Greater Sierra Leone in order to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life for the citizens of this chiefdom as well as greater Sierra Leone.

Volunteering and Donating Your Services

Volunteers of Sierra Leone Malegohun Community Development, Inc. will travel from the United States to implement a variety of programs to assist the men, women, and children who are suffering from extreme poverty in the rural areas of Sierra Leone.

The organization will also have volunteers who live in Sierra Leone. One of these programs will address the lack of proper education that the children receive.

This will include bringing donated books and school supplies from the United States to the children. In addition, the organization will teach about basic disease prevention (i.e. HIV/AIDS and malaria). Volunteers will also provide supplies such as mosquito nets to the people. The organization also plans to ask doctors in the larger cities of Sierra Leone to volunteer their time to come and work in the rural areas of Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone Malegohun Community Development is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that also provide services to assist local business. For example, the organization plans to purchase farming supplies for the community to use and then train them how to further develop their current farming efforts.

This community currently grows coffee, cocoa, cassava, and rice. Sierra Leone Malegohun Community Development will also help the community bring their products to local and international markets for trade. All of these services will be offered at no cost to the community and Sierra Leone Malegohun Community Development, Inc. will not receive any repayment for services performed.
